I don't think so. I have just bought the board and it had just arrived from the docks.

The graphics match the V2 style (two diagonal stripes from centre of tail to the sides) and it has a wider square tail than the V1.

i think so,
the sector 60 one has that missing padding between the front straps and the rear
but arguing over nothing is what i enjoy , i just need some freakin wind so i can get my brand new v2 out in light wind :(

The Sector 60, and raceboards in general, don't really go in light wind much more than any other light wind board does (say a lightwind TT or flat rockered surf board)). What they do is go rocking upwind in those same light winds.

It does not follow that because you can go upwind then you can ride in lighter winds and just stay in position or go downwind. It is harder to ride the board downwind in very light winds because it is harder to maintain tension on the lines to keep the kite flying.

You do get a knot or two more of light wind but it's not the difference between kiting and not kiting.

I'll call total BS on any one that says they can get going on a TT or a surf board on the same size kite as early as i can get going on a sector 60 or on my race board! With the correct technique you can get going much earlier on a Sector 60 and way way earlier on a good race board.

any recommendation to a flat rockered surfboard that will move early ??
I looked at an Underground in this video but have not any possibility of testing it locally

took my sector 60 v2 out yesterday at melville . Once i got the straps to my liking which required a few modifications and i got used to not riding it like a tt holy **** was it fun . Can't say i have gybe's sussed , did more face planting than efficient turns :P

But i was out on my 10.5 from 13 to 22 knots and i weigh 105kg . F*** it was so much fun . Everything i know on a TT has gone out the window but i can see how this board has opened up my options so much more than simply buying a bigger kite .

The amount of speed i generated in 15 knots took me by suprise at first but once i was confident to just lean back and gets those fins working the thing just trucked upwind and picked up speed with minimal effort . normally in 15ish knots i will be on the 13 and having nowhere near as much fun as i had yesterday .

love the board

love my sector, it opened up a new realms of riding for me. coastal adventuring, racing, light wind free riding. Getting away from the launch site to see whats around the corner or out around the islands. Just magical. the TT does not see many days on the water anymore its the sector or a surf board now.
