Hi Robby,

There are very few in the country until the 2nd shipment arrives in the next few days. We'll post once we get a hold of some. I can confirm that there are quite a few people interested in the Evo this year. From all accounts, it is a very good kite this year

I rode the 14m in Cocos Island and was so impressed. Loops super easy but without power which I like. Great hang time. I learnt front rolls on this kite and it was so easy. Drifts better than the Rebel. Really love this kite, especially the larger sizes. 14m for 15 knots is so much fun for rotations.

Yeh was 2017. I weigh 72kgs only and was using click bar which was great too if not a little expensive. I was on north team rider pro I borrowed and it as large size I think 140. Great combo for light wind. Cocos was light the two weeks I was there, average 15knots.

Anyone had a chance to review? I'm looking at trading in some pivots for the Evos. Can anyone compare on all aspects of the performance between the two. Size for size I'm looking at an 11m and 8m.
Cheers

Can only compare 2016s but same same.

Pivot probably drifts better. But EVERYTHING else the Evo kills the pivot stone dead. No comparison.

thanks Eppo, do you know how they compare size for size on the low End? ive also read that the Evo needs to be pretty powered up to jump decent otherwise it's not a great jump anyone have any experience with this?

Pivot has a more accessible low end. More plug and play. Some like them I think they fly like absolute sh1t. But that's just a personal thing. Try yourself and make your own mind up.

Just made my second user experience with the North Evo 2017. www.kitefinder.com/en/kites/1633/north-evo-2017

Had a light wind foil session and the last one was a +22 knots of wind session.
For the light wind hydrofoil sessions I would go for a North Mono or Neo.
In the High-end I liked the floaty jumps and sheet & go power. The Evo 10m was still controllable in 22 knots, long de-power range (using the click bar) in the gusts the leading edge squeezed a little bit. I believe the comfort zone of the new Evo 10m lies between 12 and 22 knots.

22 knots max?? crikey thats when it would start getting good. I was on the rebel 10m 25 to 30 knots, not a problem and don't think the evo is much different. Trust me, when you can, you can go much higher than 22 knots on a 10m evo.

Yup I have a mate riding the 8m up to 40 knots at 80kg and I am firmly planning on riding my new 9 up until at least 35 knots (100kg) as I did with my previous Evos (2013). A 10 should have it's sweet spot from about 22 knots to about 30ish.
