Hey Robbie,
If you want it to "surf" during micro seconds when line tension is low, definitely scale it up.
Your height will give you enough leverage over a 160cm board to handle any wind strength. 160 isnt much bigger. Its approximately 6cm extra at each end if you look at a ruler that's not much at all.
Ask for alittle wider too. But don't go over 45cm wide.
Its actually faster riding it backwards off the nose. Better pop too cause of the square out line. Makes it easy jumping masses of white water and getting out of the sh-t quick.
The Squash tail has a different characteristic to a square TT shape. It sinks and grips turns. Good for hanging on through fast bottom turns. The board carries speed through the bottom turn and will help take you back the top of the wave.
Even though the 8cm Thruster fins are small it tracks well when ridden fast and flat. The Double concave/Vee helps track the board comfortable and straight. Normal TT boards dont like to ride flat in a straight line.
