Yes, 7 and 9 Cabo arrived today, fly to Indo with Tim and Nick for a week tomorrow, how lucky is that!! Cabo's available for demo upon return, Hi Nick will let you know what I think once I have a couple of sessions under my belt, they will have to be good to get me off the TS, I may end up with a mix this year. Best are going to kick ass this year, quality and range is superb and the bar is so much better than the competition!:-)

Had quite a few sessions on the new Cabo now, some good waves up the coast and an epic session out the front today, 2m + swell, 16 second wave period, so much fun certainly earned a few beers!
The Cabo has taken a little getting used to, I am very used to freeride sle kites i.e the TS, the Cabo is a super smooth park and ride, or position the kite and let it drift. My usual style calls for a lot of kite flying which the TS enjoys, with the Cabo you forget about the kite a lot more. A few have asked me how it compares with the Kahoona, difficult, as Best have positioned their kites this year to excel in particular aspects if the sport, the Kahoona is a Delta freeride, its a plug and play easy kite, that is good in surf, the Cabo is definitely better in the waves, but will not boost like a Kahoona, bar pressure is very similar to the Kahoona and TS, good for me for a 2-3 hour session, heavy bars do my elbows in, relaunch is similar to the TS it does require a little kite knowledge but still easy, not in the league of the Kahoona which launches itself! Where the Cabo differs in waves for me is that when you bottom turn and redirect the kite the Cabo will come across the window without putting heaps of power through the lines, yet it is still reacting to bar input and will sit where you want it ready to load some power in, the TS drives with power everywhere, I love that feeling in the TS as its so fast and lively.
The TS is a superb freeride kite for the rider who is ready to step up from a delta, for the rider who wants to mix up, twin tips, surfboard, waves or flat, the kite to throw nice big power loops yet also will steam off down the line, the Kahoona is a kite for everyone just to have easy fun, massive jumps, good wave riding, yet teach your kids or friends on the same kit. The Cabo is for those who are dedicated to their surf board, who don't want to reach for the sky when they jump, yet is still respectable at boosting, has a massive wind range and is sooo smooth. As it says on the box, for surfing.
As an aside, I am now 18 months into the 2012 bar with the sacrificial centre line inserts, still no wear on the lines and hardly any wear on the insert, and my gear gets a hell of a lot of use and never gets rinsed off.
