Any significant improvement suggests it wasn't a very good kite and or bar to begin with. Perhaps when Ozone designs a kite that has all its forces equally balanced on just its wing tips without the need of a bridle -- then that to me would be 'significant'.

Once again that would most probably change the feel and purpose of the kite? yes!
it was still a good kite just lacked low end. and the bar from 2010 onwards is the simplest and cleanest bars out! by a mile. exicted to see what the 2013 bar will bring anyone heard what changes they are making?

I heard it was the other way, 2010 had more bottom end than 2011?
those toggles on the 2010 bar sucked though, kept slipping.

cant'.

No doubt, they would probably have to change the name from C4 to Fuel, or some other real C kite's name...

^^^ Why so narky about this? Not long ago you were riding kites with much more bridling than the C4s, some of which even had pulleys.

It amazes me how certain about this kite are some of the people who've not actually ridden it. I trust the discerning reader will sort the reviews from the speculations.

sorry if it comes across that way djdojo. Didn't love the C4, preferred the hadlows. That said, the Fuels are even nicer again! Some say the Razors are even better than the fuels, whats more, some say the Best GP is even better again! So, u can see just how highly subjective someone's opinion is, and how easily things can be taken out of context. That said, its still got a bridle..

Cool, so long as there's some humour in the mix I'm happy. I also note, and again, happily so, that others have been pretty respectful of your wishes to stick to nominated kites in your parallel C kite thread; a bit of restraint and focus is a good thing.

For me, a pulleyless, short, maintenance-free, non-tangling bridle that adds wind range and relaunch ability without reducing directness and feel is well worth having. And as eeezeee said, for the gusty frontal and northerly stuff, it's just that bit more peace of mind/buffer when you might otherwise be getting tea-bagged.

As quoted from 'AKSonline' in an older thread,
"The C4 is an easy kite to fly but you wont get the most out of the kite unless you are a decent kite flyer.

Beginner and intermediate kiters tend to rely on brute power when riding, ie they want a kite that pulls when they pull the bar in, and stops when they let the bar out. A C4 has a bigger wind range than most kites but it takes a more articulate kite flyer to work the bottom end by advanced board skills as well as precise flying skills.

An advanced rider will also be able to squeeze a fair bit more out of the top end. An average kite will have a 12 knot wind range. A good kiter will have a 15-16 knot wind range. An amazing kite like C4 or Edge will have a wind range closer to 20 knots in the hands of a skilled pilot."......

Probably why u didnt like it?
there is no comparison with a true 'C' kite, C4 are a hybid 'C', totally different feel, they can be used for majority of riding styles, with the advantage of having improved depower, not just park it and ride all the time.
And no long ass bridles and pulley to invert your kite and wrap all around it

Just because AKSonline has published an opinion or a biased review on a product doesn't make it decree -- especially when it regards wind range, which (I agree) is highly subjective as there are so many variables that need to be taken into consideration. But, for the benefit of most, just because you have a bridled kite, which has loads of depower, it still doesn't mean you can safely take a 12m kite out in 25+ knots! Just visit Altona on a windy S.E, your bound to see a kite wrapped around a light post, or casted over some power lines.

i feel like i want to argue with somebody something. but i had a sweet time one the 10 c4 yesterday. only 16-18 knots. no where near powered. but a sweet loopy session. smacken white wash and wave lips with transition loops. nice. not extreme but lots of fun.

Well maybe your in the wrong thread then, go pimp your negativity elsewhere. What AKS has written is spot on lots riders here mostly ride bandits and wainmans, they jump on my c4 and they cant use is because theyre kite flying skills are dialled into grunt machines that require little to no input to fly them, most sessions when people are out on grunty 10's i am on a C4 8mtr and have no problems, i weigh no more or less than them, and use a smaller board then the majority.
I dont any probs with wainman or fone i still like jumping on my mates bandits and wainman all the time, good fun....i think they are all great kites, but the C4 will handle any conditions, riding style, provided you know how to fly it. quality and simplicity of use is unsurpassed.
i honestly think u dont have a clue what your talking about, probably have never ridden a C4, i really wanna know why u even clicked on the thread, if u had no intention of giving any useful advice/information/review???
And im asking my self why i even signed up to seabreeze to listen to a bunch of kooks bagging stuff they know nothing about, or pimping totally of topic.
Sounds like there is a lot of cabrinhas in altona or alot of kooks
