Gave the nhp another go yesterday fully powered ony 9m smoke and I actually really enjoyed it. Had an ocean roedeo mako king on test as well and thing is weird but wicked fun. Think I will buy one of them for light wind and wave use. As for the nhp after riding the long it felt very small and although good with all that rocker I felt like perhaps a size bigger would if be better for me. Think I could het away with the fifty 50 and be pretty happy with it so will trade my nhp in.
Would be nice if I could keep the nhp as well but they are just to damn exspensive and the bigger size the better alrounder.

Not sure mate. Probably the 140 as I like the wider boards. My trax 4 was only 40 wide and didn't plane as well as the wider nhp 09. I think 42 wide works well. The 140 is only 41 wide isn't it? Think that's will be the best out of the three?
Any body tried all three sizes or even two of the fifty 50's in different sizes that could give any feed back?

Like to give boots ago but they are exspensive. surface to air over here are doing a bit of a deal on the slingshot pb floyds though at the moment so may be. Are those any good? or am i better off going for some lf oes or something?
I changed my board to the fifty 50 today. 140x41. The board is easy to ride. not sure whether i have done the right thing yet though. when the wind picked up on my 12m the board was like a rocket and not sure if it wont run away with me?
Having said that i was using the standard pro pads that came fitted with the board and i dont really think much of them as they dont lock you dowm in the toe area which is how i like to be and prefer the sandle type like cab syncs. Couldn't be bothered to fit them today but will for next time and see how i get on then.
Maybe being locked down more will give me enough control to stop that feeling that the board may run away when the wind creeps up.
Riding toe side was the nicest i have found any board so far i actually managed to go further upwind than i could toe side on any other board i have tried including my fone trax which was real sweet for that, am now thinking that maybe longer length in a board = easier to side riding? Awesome regardless.
Fifty 50 seemed to go upwind just slightly better than the nhp as well although i think you will be hard pressed to find a board that goes upwind much better than the nobile range.
Dont really think it was windy enough for jumping properly today so hard to say whether i think it is easier or had nicer pop than the nhp plus have just chaned my technique.
Still hummimg and ha'ing as to which is the better. Think i need another session in higher winds to decide. Both cracking boards though!!!!

Waxman you seem to know the Nobile Boards well, I need some advice. Can't choose between the NHP or 50 fifty and the size for that matter. I'm 68kgs- 5'9, just started riding powered C kites (best move I've made), have basic unhooked tricks down and just started handle passes. Local beach can get pretty choppy at times. Current board LF recoil 08 132. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Well with the fifty 50 i would try the 139 x 40 or with the NHP you could try either the 131 x 40 or 134 x 42.

I think if you are ridding powered c kites and for your level of riding the NHP 131 may be perfect for you should be good in the chop and hold down a lot of power when unhooked.
I cant comment on the 50 fifty 139 but can say that my 140 feels similar to ride to my 134 nhp just has more pop/speed. If your planing on using boots in the future definatly grab the 139.

If you dont mind to travel, and love riding butter flat watter in most conditions come across to whyalla, should be able to arange a demo for you.

Been out my fifty 50 last couple days now and starting to love it. It's very Fast though and can run away with me when using my 12m in powered conditions. Few times have gone too fast and had to go airborne or turn real quick to stop myself running out of control. Not as controlable as the nhp I might add but kind of adds a bit more excitement to the board. Apart from that it rocks. Have got my cabrinah syncs fitted to it now which are a little better than the nobile ones well at least the straps are! The sync foot beds ain't quite as comfy and it's a shame you can't put the sync pads on the nobile footbeds like you can with other makes. Wen will nobile make some decent backless bindings which are getting ever more popular? Hope they do soon.
As for the fifty 50 awesome bit of kit.
There is definitly more rocker in the nhp I think or at least feels that way. Nhp feels slightly more solid when riding and slightly slower board I think but that's probably to do with the extra width?

Now that you've got some boots all you need is a decent board to put them on. Haha.

I have tryed a few boards with my boots PB Floyds, and a lot of them werent that good the fifty 50 is by far the best board i have ever ridden as it can be ridden with straps or boots. with straps the board doesnt feel to big and with boots it is perfect. What other board gives you that option, without compromise.

Plus it is light, and has a 3 year waranty!


So which board are you talking about, is there any good reviews on them that i can read up on?

The corrigation in the board is a good way to make the board stiff where you need it and flex where you dont and save a **** load of weight. If you have ever picked one of these boards up you will notice that it seems to flex easily, but compare it to a piece of coricated iron that also flexes easily, but only a little bit you try to bend it past that point and it will just lock up or crease unlike the nobile board that will just hold that ridgid shape. when the board is fully loaded up it holds a fully ridgid shape that has a rocker comparable to a wake board giving maximum pop, and unlike the cabrina and lf boards it is nice to ride has a verry forgiving landing and goes up wind efortlesly powers through chop etc.

Can you still claim your stiff wake style boards can do this. I do agree that there are other good boards for boots but not one that can handle the range of conditions and different ridding styles that the nobile fifty 50 can. You should give one a go, I think you would be verry suprised.

Im not saying that LF make a bad board, but i dont think they are as versitile as nobile boards. Thats the point im trying to make.

Bad Points:With no grab handle(its a good thing it doesnt need one), the board is a slippery little sucker which has you grabbing the straps or boots to carry it which isnt allways easy, i think the board just needs some little gripps on the side in the middle like last years 666 to make it easyer to hold. just some little ribs or a 3d molding like the skim. If Nobile come to grips with this it will be 10/10 next year.
