I have had my 12 Helix out the last four days in wind 15 to 22 knots, gusty at times. I am around 80 kg and have been rideing a 132 Flx. I have to agree with most of the other comments above, this sure is a BIG BIG change from my 08 model,a very fast and challenging kite to ride. there is no way that I could ride this weapon to its full potential but man its going to be fun trying. The big thing for me is that the kite is pulling from the harness and not the bar, so its like the pull comes from around your waist and all the bar is doing is controlling the steering and de-power. I am finding that upwind has never been easier, and i think some of this is due to being able to control the bar with your back hand and twist your hips and really "reaching" upwind, really is an awsome feeling.Jumping is a timing thing and when you get it right look out they are not only high but long in distance as well. When i come unstuck(regularly) I am finding that I am bouncing four or five times across the top of the water, and that is an indication of the speed this thing generates compared to my previous gear.Just one thing that I am not sure of is that when the kite is powered, and you want to de-power, that de-power rope is really tough, maybe its just me can anyone help me with this?
Anyway wind is up again ,have to go
