Hey,
am into the surf, old school, jumps and all, due to my age!!!! Looking for a new board. Am using Liquid Farce 134 cm with North kites. My buddies say that my board is too stiff but I would like some impartial advice on what size/ brand to go with for a light wind wave/ jump board..

What is the main goal of the new board? is it to replace the original one or to just add to what you have to get a bit more range.

If it is to get some more range and you have the patience to learn and ride/ jibe a surfboard it would be your best choice for light wind/waves. Get one with straps and yo will still be able to jump. A top quality surf board with straps will set you back around the same as a top end TT. But there are some great deals on last years gear from different manufactures.

I have 2 surfboards one with straps and one without that is a little bigger, since getting the surfboards i have goten rid of my light wind TT as it is a lot more fun on a surfboard as you can still do allmost all of the same tricks. I was riding a 137 nobile 555. I found it to be a very good board for lighter conditions had a lot of flex and carved ok for how much rocker it had.

Hi Gorgon - Like Waxie said, the strapped surfboard is great. I ride a Rawson 6'2" strapped in the waves - super light and responsive. My TT's are an Underground Future 141x42, super shock absorbent and flexy; and gr8 in the waves, and an older SS Glide 149x44?; great light wind board, but no good in the waves. The rocker is too flat etc...
Hope this helps....

Do yourself a favour and try out the LF Proof 141 for choppy riding. Low tech and super cheap but such a nice ride in messy chop. BTW it is stiffer and heavier than most but the rounded rails and slightly squashed tail make for a tres nice ride.

I had a Drop 136 for a few yrs, sold it recently and just wasn't happy (at all) with other boards I tried (that were 2 x the price BTW) and ended up getting a Proof. 1st sesh last night. Soo sweet.

Sounds like a X Over 142 to me. Airush have brilliant boards.
