I saw a vid a few weeks ago which I can no longer locate. The vision was taken buy a guy with a helmet cam on a strapless directional. When he got to the end of his tack he somehow gybed the board by planting his back foot and spinning the nose upwind to leave the nose pointing in the opposite direction. He did this in both directions. It seemed like a highly efficient and slick way to gybe the board but I cant find any info at all about this gybe technique. Does anyone have any info about this?

I would like to see a vid of lots of cool transitions eg jesus walks, darkslides fingerslides and other ones I dont know about? Im having heaps of fun figuring out how to do those, so would be stoked to see some footage to keep me frothing!

Thanks Dave. I think you must be right. Although i had seen this duck tack tutorial previously I had thought this was not the same move I was looking for. On reflection it seems that it must be.... the original vid I saw was from the riders perspective and I probably just dont recognise it from an onlookers perspective. Cheers!

Thanks fcalmon. That looks a little clearer... although I'm pretty sure its the same move as the 'duck tack' the vision seems slightly easier to follow. Cheers!!

That is an upwind tack, there is no rotation of the body.

A duck tack - which I am yet to master - involves rotating the body in the direction that you turn upwind. I can't really figure out this move.

Ahhhhh I see. The body rotation in the duck tack will also leave the back lines crossed.
