Just an update ,the ideal Geroa to heads downwinder is 20 nots and mid tide 4 foot plus surf . We went down twice , once in October ,it was hi tide 20 nots and dead flat .Deemed too boring. The second trip was November it was already 25 nots at 12.30pm ,we only had big kites, called off. We attempted a downwinder from gong's northern beaches. Coledale to Towradgi on a noreast . However with a rising wind we put up small kites ,wind went pearshaped and crossoffshore ,struggled, got to Bellambi beach ,walked to train station to go back to cars . The Geroa downwinder will still be on this summer sometime..

Point Street at Bulli is Sandon point and Farrell Road is Peggys .
