Just a note for people that head there to kite -

Your no longer allowed to launch/rig on the spit rigging is only on the grassy launch on the other side.

From the sounds of it there is also going to be a set kiting area from the first sand bar above the island down to the grassy rigging area, which does make for a smaller ridding area especially at low tide.
