In the absence of wind and warmer waters (the bay is 13 deg at the moment), I've been yesterday with my son on a motorbike trip around Melbourne: Reefton Spur, Black Spur and everithing in between, overall 220 Km.

We got it all: sunshine, rain and even snowing for a short time.

And it was cold!
We blessed the bakery in Marysville - for their hot tea and sandwiches.
But it is not like Kitesurfing,

,nothing can be like it

.
Kaos, your boards are lookin good. And the weight is fantastic. I was talking two years ago with somebuddy on the beach about traying to make a board of balsa and they just were laughing. However at the end of last season I made a "garage door" (bigger than a "fridge door" - 'couse I am heavy)from to layers of marine balsa palywood, with to layers of directional carbon fibre cloth inside, which got me going in a 10 knots wind, however I still have to reinforce it a little bit as it is too flexible especially during the transitions, and I had to attach some pretty large finns, as being so wide it is somehow difficult to edge.
Great fun in those light winds days we have here in Melbourne.
Cheers
