The best bit was where he dropped-in on that boogy boarder.

impressive not loosing the board in strapless with such a messy water!

But that's an inspiring video

All I see is someone strugling to recover from jumps without losing his board.

It takes amazing skills and I certainly don't pretend to be better but he could have boosted 3 times bigger and look 10 times smoother if he was wearing straps.

Oh, sorry, it is all about the vibe, the feel!!!!!!!

Another great kiter wobling in the water instead of advancing our sport with some big powerful amazing moves.

I will take Mitu boosting with straps over a 15 foot section prior to landing smoothly on the face anytime (although he also lands some amazing unstrapped superman that I will never be able to do).

Red thumb away, I like the vid and the guy is mighty good but I just wish someone with the necessary skills out there could push the boundaried of strapped surfing.

Interesting point .I have personally witnessed many a day in onshore slop someone coming in with a strapless board saying 'it's **** out there i wouldn't bother" or seeing guys constantly falling over and missing waves and generally struggling without straps when people of similar or worse skill are having a ball with stapped boards .Horses for courses i reckon for your average joe and don't be shackled by trends .Having said that i have seen unstrapped guys struggle stick with it in these conditions and now excell but i don't reckon that these guys are your average joe .

having said that I 'm not going to criticise this vid or unstrapped riding in general

I am surprised to see guys being slavish to the trend or no straps waveriding (if that's what they want to call it) who have not taken to unstrapped freestyle riding .I have seen some really nice unstrapped wakeboard riding but don't see much of it with kites

^^^^^ .
.
Personally i love watching guys ripping it up strapless, takes a whole lot of board skill to be busting airs like that. Who cares if it is strapped or not, it was still a great vid to watch and the guy is riding well, how he wants to do it..

To the untrained eye strapped riding does look more coordinated, flowing and aggressive. however for me kiteSURFING is all About "surfing" the wave. You don't see surfers Wearing footbelts assisting their tricks

Guys on strappless boards dont go Mach 4 at lips... It's un-surfing like

Is it really mandatory to make a debate on everything?

For sure it is easier with straps, but I think it is just different

What interests me is being able to get my speed from the wave and not the kite, and I still can't.
I like seeing people succeeding in that, that gives motivation.
And it is not something we see everyday

2 different practices, no opposition

Too much wobbly stuff in the white wash. Was boring.
