If it takes so long to "edit and resize", maybe you should take a sec or two to make the horizon.... I don't know... horizontal?

Most of these shots are, IMHO, pretty "boring" with no real substance or feel to them.

Please take this as constructive critisism as I fully appreciate and relate to people putting down the gear to stand on the beach and take the shots. Keep it up bro, and I'm sure I'll see some great shots from you in the future!

Last shot is by far the best one... but needs cropping to make a real interesting shot

Because there's so much blue sky it doesn't make sense to leave it all in the crop. There are no reference points anyway, so might as well crop the hell out of it and focus on the object/objects that exist(s) in the frame (the kitesurfer and/or kite)

Here's two ways to crop it (did not have original file so just downloaded this one here and cropped it) that I think make for a more interesting framing.

Keep it up!

How high is he then? It does not show how high he is as there are no referance points. Besides, if you can take a shot like that it goes without saying that he's high, hence you don't need a full frame of blue sky..

first thing I learnt in photography...if it is unintentionally soft focus, dont bother.

I think the 1st shot is the best asis, but its just my personal taste.

There are some basic rules of photography that can help you produce excellent results very quickly. For more info Google "how to take good photographs" (without quotes) and follow some links.

These are all good sharp hires shots, and just need some post production.

How high is the dude in the last shot? Well he's obviously just jumped out of a plane....

So, yeah, I like all the blue underneath too, but not above. It works for his shot.

A Bit irresponsible really since there are other people in the area and the pond is usually very busy with learners. But the jumping arse clowns aren't really concerned with other peoples safety are they.

That is half the problem down safety bay, is that the pond is not really a suitable place for learners. There is a great sandbar that runs up back of the pond that is waist deeo for ages, learners should really stay in the nursery.

Main reason is that until they can take good care of themselves, they piss the windsurfers off more than the show ponies and that makes for horrible meetings with the council that we are going to have this tues.

Hey spucie, yeah just my personal preferance, not a professionaly trained photographers veiw following the rules. The close up crops,he could be 1foot off the water, all the blue sky(even though with no referance points) gives the prospective of way up in the deep blue sky.

But Im not a pro photographer, just know which one I prefer.Everyone wil have a different veiw
