Anybody been to Thailand? I'm there for the first 2 weeks in November. I've not confirmed where as such, but thinking of Hua Hin, Phuket or Ko Samui for kite surf holiday. Any recommendations/watch-outs/wind condition reports would be much appreciated.

I'm honeymooning in and around Phuket from 20 Oct through till 4 Nov. Not taking my kite gear (as it's a honeymoon), but I was hoping to hire some gear somewhere for a sesh. I understand they have plenty of waterport activities available.

I'll, keep an eye on wind conditions and potential spots while I'm there, even if I don't get out for a kite.

I found Chumphon to be pretty windy at that time of year, the last couple of times I was there. Hua Hin was barely blowing. I did get a kite in at Pranburi 35 ks south of Hua Hin

yeah Chumphon was windy in Nov. its got a small kiteschool there as well. the beach is not very wide. theres not a lot of people there so you get the place to yourself almost.

never went to phuket and did not find KS to be any good for it.
