Those roll clouds are both amazing and scary beasts!
You never know what they bring, sometimes you barely get any wind on the ground.

This one truly looks like the end of the world:

Incredible shot, apocalyptic! Thanks for sharing!

Makes me think of the paraglider who got taken up to 10,000 metres s few years ago. Mother nature can blow off some serious steam!

... looks like the end of days is coming hey! We get similar stuff here in Darwin especially this time of year.

Only just yesterday we had a small version and every time I went over each chop, upon landing I got a shock and when I did a bigger jump, the shock just about knocked my hand off my bar and loud crackling sound the length of the board. Time to go in me thinks!!

cheers,

Robbie

@ STAMP camp was totally flattened, Em hid under the mattress behind the car. Kicker just about took out the car and the storm surge flooded anything left standing
@Puetz no kiting this one, there was one lightning strike in the water that was a big fireball when it hit. Although one couple holding on to a portable shade were looking for a quick release when it started to take the 2 of them with it.

How about 35-40knots blue sky / flat water and lit up on my 6m. That was a way to start the new year. Augusta went off.
