Was fortunate to try this on a frozen lake in NZ some years ago .there was bugger all wind (at most 5 kts) once you got going the apparent wind build up is amazing and you would really fly.(kind of like snowkiting on oz ice mid season )
Wats with the boardies over the snow suits WTF ?.looks like the Aussie winter kiting plague on the water has spread northward

They are Ice Hockey Pants with padding, guess they thought they might need it, would not be so sure you would want to try and boosts on the ice........crack.........

Hmm maybe a Canadian thing that spread southward and the Aussie kiting lamers thought it would look cool over a wettie .Maybe padded lamer boardies for gumby kiters .Then they have a proper reason for the rediculous fashion that invades our beaches each winter
