Those first 2 pics are absolutely insane. Had I not been there once I would have to kill you out of sheer jealousy.

Ya doing well mate, got some decent control on your kite. Now get rid of that stupid surfboard in the flat water and start doing what young reckless balls to the walls men should be doing. Lol.

Ps I'm sure your dad will be pissed at me, ha ha

Just gotta get ya brother infected with the big now.

Forget your kiting gear mate. Take the fishing rods, and if you are camping, a generator and air conditioner so you can escape the flies and drink a beer without getting a mouth full of protein!
Can be very hot and not windy that time of year.

Bring your kites but don't stay in town. Last year the week over christmas it was over 45 deg with christmas day over 50 I think in town. Our thermometer on the beach never got over 32. I was on my 13m most of the time yet other years we have been on 10m in the morning and changing to 8m early arvo.
west oz is right though the place is crap

Englishcraig, the first 2 pictures were taken at Sandy bay. Eppo, the surfboard was the only reason i was moving on the water at sandy :P without it i would have been sitting on the beach watching that one other guy like everyone else.

Aww hell, I was staying in Coral Bay with the family, we headed up to do some snorkelling in Turquoise bay, and when we pulled in to Sandy Bay for a look see, I saw you guys kiting and almost tore my heart out to stop it aching so much.
Stupidly I had left the kite back in Coral Bay.

Seeing this thread makes me want to rip out my heart again.
The conditions there were so awesome.

Ironman, going by your kites, are you the same guys I saw kiting in Denham a few days later?

Having a couple of young kids and a wife who doesn't kite makes it damn hard at times.
So jealous of you guys.

That sounds like a good idea.

Or I should just get selfish about going kiting

It is freakin sweet up there; I was consoling myself on missing out by thinking I could get some kiting in when I got back to Perth.
Where's the seabreezes??

Hey ocean fire sandy bay perfect spot for ya kids and wife while you kite. Mine were there. Next time come and say hello would have gladly let ya have a kite on my gear mate. Not much can go wrong at sandy bay.

Yeh I do feel ya pain been many times. My wife doesn't even like the beach! But hey kids do so suck it up ya out voted.

And ironman I know this was just having a laugh. Hey how'd ya find my sector V3 anyhow. ? Different hey. You looked real smooth on it actually ya dad was bouncing around like he was on a jumpy castle. Lol. Must be his wind surfing background and the heavy back foot. Gotta let this baby plain and point.

Cheers eppo, will keep it in mind for next time
If I had my kite with me I definitely would have got it out and joined you guys.

Would have been good to hook up in a relaxed situation like that and get me and the wife to meet a few of the kiting fraternity.
I try to have a bit of a yarn at times when I get out to pinnas, but most of the time the pressure is on to get decent sesh in after work, leaving little time for socializing.

Nah that wasn't us at Denham Oceanfire...We have kited there before but we didn't go there this time. Eppo that board was heaps good. Dad did say when he came in he was bouncing around on it but i found it fine. Probably because im used to front foot preasure on my surfboard but it cuts upwind real fast!
