Hi im looking at getting into kitesurfing.
Could someone please point me in the right direction as to what style and size
kite i should be looking for. i weigh 85kg.
Have been told by a few people that a 12m would suit. Is this correct??
If so am looking for either a kite or kite,board package.
Only looking to spend around $200-500 on kite, as want to try
before i spend alot. Any info would be great

hey there ..... if your lucky to live in a place where they do lessons (not me) so i started on a ordinary kite and learning how to understand how the wind works and they say you need about 15 hrs .... you probably already know this .... i didnt so thats what im doing before i hand over dollars on a kite

Everyone has different opinions. Bugger the brand, learn to fly the kite with your eyes closed, learn safety rules, how to self rescue, learn how to fly the kite with one hand, and bodydrag upwind effectively. You will have no problems. Whatever you spend your coins on, it wont matter as long as you buy a modernish kite...... Check out the newbies tricks and tips for information, rather than the general forum.
