you spend an 1.25 hours cleaning the sand out of the car as a part of a bargain with your mum to drop you at the beach, the caravel looks new, unfortuatly/fortunately it wont stay sand free.

You check the wind forecast a week before the weekend, six days before, five days before, four days before, and three days before, and are thrilled that the winds show 15/20 knots! , then you check them two days before and it shows red arrows and 10 knots, and are really cut that the BOM can't ever seem to get the predictions correct! Even on the day!

You leave work in East Perth, late at 5:20pm... Only 1h40min before the sunset... You know it s not feasable, though...
On the freeway, overtake, overtake, overtake...looking at the sun... Hmmm still pretty high... Forget courtesy on the road...
back home, rush, rush, rush.. Look at the sun through the window... Sh_t! It s falling behind the trees... Not a good sign!!!
No car available at home... jump on the pushbike... argh, argh, argh... 25 minutes to reach the beach... Seabreeze in the noose....
Arrive at the beach...half in a coma... lock the bike...
Quick! To the beach, run, run, run ... Arrgh, the legs can not keep up... BUT: the sun is still a few inches above the horizon... Oh no!!! I will never be on time on the water!!!
Throw the mattress, preflight check and zou! The kite is in the air...

AHAHAHAHA!!!! Adrenaline kicks up! No more pain in the legs... Only pleasure.. Sharks are my friends... Hellos to the seagulls...

After 17min27sec on the water...
The body crashes on the beach... and what remains from the brain thinks:

"That was really worth it!!!"

You know your addicted when you set up a secret cult with the local kiters and make human sacrifices to the wind gods....

yeah, a board or sunnies or car keys are never "lost", just offered in tribute to the wind gods who merely toy with our daily happiness - our very lives!

You're coming to Australia for Christmas, haven't seen the family for a year, there's even a new baby, you land Christmas eve, and you're checking seabreeze and wondering if you can get out of Christmas day and get to the beach.
