Seven km of speed kite surfing bliss.

Just think of the pitch!

Protected lagoon, 80km off the coast in some of the WA's most windswept and historically rich coastline. (Think Batavia)

All we need is the boat, rescue helicopter, cop multi novas, 10 red bull girls and a few of the worlds fastest kiters and a sh@t load of insurance.

- this could become an international event!

What do you guys/girls think?

Rip it apart (kiting wise), environmentally leaving no footprint. Got to look after these amazing islands.

It may need further checking out first; how does it look in street view?

I think Mr White and Mrs Tiger looks after the crowd control situation quite well...

The 26-year-old was taken by the six-metre shark while snorkelling with the tourists off the Abrolhos Islands group early this afternoon.

It was moored at Wreck Point, in the south-east corner of Pelseant Island, which is part of the Abrolhos Islands group, 60km from the port of Geraldton.

You would still kite it

There is a good spot in queensland too, 3k long, straight, super flat water, perfect angle to the trade wind, with plenty of space to slow down after the run:

there's a good spot up at the Monte Bello islands too but your not allowed to kite there in the sanctuary zone. Apparently kiters are more dangerous to turtles than boats.

It'd be nice to do a natural foot speed run for a change, all the good speed spots I've ridden are goofy. Not sure it would be smooth enough though, you don't really get water smooth enough for a good speed run anywhere that isn't directly sheltered by exposed ground.

I haven't been to the spot in your picture, but by the look of it there may be some hazards there at low tide, especially if its shallow enough for good speed runs.

Crayfishermen drop their pots on the inside. Plenty deep enough.

Who's keen and has a boat?
