Yo... since there 'aint been heaps of wind of late, i've managed to put together a lil kiting clip

it's some footage of me enjoying some sessions at Woodman's Point, Trigg Beach & Cape Town

...It's a bit of this & a bit of that - Waves, big jumps, freestyle, free-riding...
some "ametuer" footage but a lot of fun sessions!....

It's pretty much impossible to see what you're doing on that photage but looks like it's just a backroll to revert (backroll with an extra "180" at the end, landing toeside) with a kiteloop..

Not sure what you're calling "backloop" and "switch"

thanks Spuce I think you nailed it - it's a backloop with a extra 180 but the only thing is I don't go to toeside but actually switch directions altogether - if you look I start the kiteloop going right in direction, but when I land I'm going left...

First of all there's no such thing as "backloop", it's backroll (even though backroll to revert is sometimes refered to as "backloop to toeside"). Loop is what the kite does and it can downloop and megaloop and kiteloop, but not backloop. Roll is what you do, and you can front and backroll Don't try and make it sound more complex than it is. If you're landing the way you are it's effectively a backroll to revert, or "backloop to toeside" with a kiteloop thrown in. If you start to ride in the opposite direction after, then it's a transition so a backroll to revert kiteloop transition, or even to be more precise just a backroll kiteloop transition as the transition bit tells us that you've switched direction, and an assumption is made you are riding heelside in that direction

*gee thanks spruce, again*

1st time I have ever heard that a backloop is NOT a move LOL

yes, I do end up going heelside, so yes, I have now learned that it is called a backroll kiteloop transition
