Anywhere but the big main bay. Go to sunshine beach or any of those beaches south of there

About 20 minutes south is Maroochydore - cotton tree.. great flat water and surf,AWESOME in a SE. just be aware on the out going tide. can be a little tricky if a kite is dropped

coolum to sunshine is the preferred spot for SE for locals, downwinders is the go !

Flatwater go to Caloundra in SE, Maroochy if its got lots of E or there is some lakes nearby if you are a beginer, go to adventure sports along the noosa river for the full rundown on local rules and enjoy

Looks like the wind forecast up here hs just changed for the 15 th time in a week and there is allot of ese on the way , I haven't got a car , is there anyway you can kite on the south edge of the river mouth on an ese, I can walk there in 2 minutes from my hotel. I'm talking about the noosa river mouth at noosa if that's not clear .

Otherwise exactly which part of sunshine is the best , I don't want to get a taxi for an hour just to kite

Thanks again

Busses will get you from noosa to the easten beaches no troubles. And you can do downwinders finishing at sunnies the walk all of 100mtrs back to the bus and do it all again!! And I think They are still free till the 10th of Jan!

Unless your scared of public transport? Hahahahaha

Thanks , where do you get off if you want to do a downwinder, ie what bus should I take from noosa, to where .? Sorry I don't really know my way round at all, happy to jump on a bus just need to know to what stop, from and to , also if I head to sunshine which part of sunshine just for a quick kite, it looks massive .

Cheers

look up translink.com.au

find a bus thats heading south

catch it

get off somewhere between Noosa and Coolum

Kite home

stay out of the flags

be careful of this weather

squall winds can double the wind speed and then lull to nothing

or go and see George and Fiona at Adventure Sports and get in touch with local kiters. Human contact works better than seabreeze
