There are a few good spots to learn. I learnt at dolls and Wanda, Dolls is probably not the best spot to learn as there is a bit of a current that can take your board and wanda has waves. If you head a bit further north to Sans Susi then that would probably be the best flat water spot around sydney. It gets crowded so try to find a quiet spot where there is not as many kiters.
