Big thanks to Darren, Drew, Lee from WAKSA & all the support crew for Sunday's Redkite Charity DW (including Ian in his bath tub sized support boat & the crew from Fremantle Sea Rescue for their support.

Winds were light but enjoyable, and it definitely picked up just as we got to Swannie/City Beach - most crew were on 11 - 14m kites.

About 25 kiters did the DW this year, and raised about $5K all up for Redkite, and it certainly was an improvement on the traditional sausage sizzle to have decent beers & fish & chips @ Clancy's Fish Bar in City Beach & presso's.

Thanks to WAKSA for committing to the event once again.

A few pics from the day FYI:

I'll second that.
Thank guys for organizing a great event!

It was my first downwinder so I was the token amateur for the event and having all the support there was a big piece of mind, without which I wouldn't have attempted such a long course.

You can be sure I'll be putting in plenty of practice for next time, so I don't have to hold up the support boat so much
