With some regret but due to a significant lack of wind this Sunday, the WAKSA Charity Downwinder for Redkite has become a 'charity sausage sizzle'...
Approximately 30 WAKSA members have raised almost $7,000 for Redkite so far and those members are in the running for a 50" Samsung plasma TV, a Mark Shinn thruster & tix to Kitestock 2011. Can we hit $10,000 by this Sunday??? Cut off time for the prizes will be 12 noon this Sunday.
We will kick off the sausage sizzle about 1.00pm this Sunday, 5th December at Brighton Beach and have a brief presentation of the prizes about 2/2.15pm.
Whilst there's no wind forecast, bring your gear just in case and we'll organise something if we get lucky (wind wise that is).
Don't forget, all funds raised for this event go to a great charity and Redkite reps will be in attendance on Sunday to thank everyone for their efforts this year.
