I've been, took my kites, but got no wind! (Wasn't expecting too much .. had to go for a wedding out of season).

Some wicked spots, waves & flat water.

Great place - down to earth super relaxed people, with a simple way of life. Forget seatbelts & pollution control! .. diesel mini buses flog all around the island for $1 to go anywhere.

Can't remember the names of the places, but they're not hard to find... if you've got access to a Kiteboarder Mag from last year, they did an article on the joint.

couple of us ran it last year. if u go in season u'll probly get some wind. we did anyway. and there is an instructor named john i think. hes an aussie... take ur surfboard

Just got back from vanuatu - was going off for kiting - went there to surf and kite and got lots of both - 15 - 25k most days. Not epic surf but solid fun waves
Safe spot near hideaway island near Vila - long sandy beach, open to fair range of winds, easy access, lawns etc.
Some great places to kite but bit dodgey re launch and land and some very nasty reef - razor sharp fingers of coral - booties a must.
Kited the bay at breakas resort / pango - was cross/on/off, tiny beach but a fun lagoon with good waves out on the reef - high tide only.
Kited one spot where locals had not seen the sport - great experience - dogs barking - locals wooping it up!
Fantastic place, cool people, warm (wore boardies/rashie), one froggy prick showed a bit of attitude in the surf - but he was a twat!
Beachcombers in the NE coast was a good place to kite - roads rough as guts.
Need to be advanced to kite some of the remote spots - but overall good fun.

it was pretty cool Jason - one local lady was trying to talk me out of it - she thought that I was going to kill myself! The young blokes couldn't wait to see the 'big parachute' (and probably wanted to see a stack!). We had beers after to celebrate!
