Conditioning apex predators to follow humans by chumming up the water? Oh and then surprise they start investigating any human in the water by association, they have no hands so test you out with those big teeth, humans intelligent

it makes you think . we have boats in sa every day they can going down to neptunes, baiting the crap out of it , training sharks to come on call and making heaps of cash putting people in cages.
this practise would have to condition sharks to boats and people.
there have been very close calls at fisheries and it is only a matter of time as sharks are long lived and travel far

I know there is debate pro and con feeding sharks, but I have to say my gut feeling is to wholeheartedly agree with you. Feeding wild animals should not be happening, quite apart from the side-effects specific to sharks that you mention.
