Dave and Su Kay, two passionate board riders, kitesurfers, cable-wakeboarders, snowboarders, land-kiters and board builders have had an irresistible offer. This means that there is some lucky person/s out there that can buy our awesome lifestyle.
Who wakes up in the morning and gets to go SUPing or surfing a couple of blocks from their front door, then heads off to ride their own Cable Park with mates and tops that all off with a super flatwater kite session, wave kite session or 20 km down-winder... all on their doorstep? Dave and Su do and have for many years now loved to play with boards. The brilliant bit of it is that it was not what they did in their time off... it was their job. This combined with the excitement they shared with every person they taught to kite, the pride they felt in every custom board they made and the camaraderie they shared with all in the New Zealand kiting scene made theirs the best life imaginable.
For Dave and Su to give up this life and move onto something else, something that could offer more is hard to fathom, but an offer has come out of the blue. This offer keeps Dave and Su in kiting, but also takes Su closer to her family, which has become more important over the past few years. This combined with the prospect of travel options to new and exciting places is all that could drag this passionate couple away from the fantastic lifestyle and community they live in, Ruakaka, Northland, New Zealand.
