Pretty funny. I had a woman come up to me and ask me what the sport was called. Had lots of questions about learning, apparently on behalf of her partner.
Umina on out going tide (pushes you into the wind), close to low is amazing. Lot of tiny waves in shallow water and if a decent swell, some great wave on the ocean side of the sand bank.
Yesterday, low tide was 12:30pm. So after about 2pm ran up and down the beach. Lots of fun but pretty bloody busy.
BTW. Umina is *the* place to learn surfboard skills...
