Ring around the local kiteshops, they always have something leftover as some boards come with straps that the board owner doesnt want. My advice, dont spend too much on something that will be uncomfortable whatever price you pay. Theres no duck especially in the front foot where you need it so expect some wear and tear on either side of your foot, as well as no arch support. The position of the straps will never be perfect for riding both upwind or down the line on any board over 5'8.

Directional mutants, nuggets, or potatoes are much more comfortable for straps as they require less trimming through foot position. This isnt a straps vs no straps,or style thing, Im just saying dont waste your time finding "the best most comfortable straps" as the inherent problem is the board.
