The problem I have with the axis pads I use, is they have a far too large heel section before the straps.
Meaning, to get right into the straps you find your heel isn't well over the edge... and you can't push the pads back any further otherwise they will drag in the water at the edge. I'm only size 10 in feet however.
Hence you are always lifting your toes...if you know what I mean...
I know this seems strange but honestly its a real issue... for me anyway.

The Plus version has two sets of Velcro straps you can crank the toes down...
I've size 11/12 feet and like the straps loose, so they're Judy big enough for me...
Don't like soft pads, comfortable for me is enough padding that you don't feel everything but not so much you lose feeling.
