Just caught some of the nor-west action today at Cottesloe with great fun right handers.
Didn't see much of it as my bridal snapped at the pulley. I tried to swim it in on the leash before deciding I wasn't going to make it to the beach before the kite hit Dutchies groyne. So out I swam pulling the kite out to sea into the pretty sizeable waves at Dutch out - got slammed enough to release the leash (preferable to the lines gradually tangling my legs and arms). I released the kite as it was dead on hitting the end of the groyne. Thankfully a strong southerly current swept it pass ... very close. It washed in unharmed to the beach, thanks Simon for grabbing it.
Turns out the pully has worn a line on the bridal (it was stiff with sand - will be thinking about brass sliders). Pulley is intact and I have a spare line (see pic). I can't work out how to thread the line (with pre-stitched knots) into the pulley. The pulley is from Ronstan and comes from an RRD Obsession 2009. Any suggestions
