I've been meaning to post my Alaia build on your thread, been too busy. I will get around to it. I had so much fun making it. Best part though, it goes unreal. So good that several people wanted me to make them one. Had it out yesterday in 8 to 10 knots with a big kite, small little waves. Whole different style of riding. I would have never though that a finless board could actually snap off the top of the wave and still hold! Take a while to get decent technique, but worth the effort.

yes o for Awesome. I have some builds planned but have been side tracked by a longboard skateboard build. more to the point i'm building the carbon trucks as well which are causing me to think considerably. Once I finish that build then carbon mutant will be built.

Hey Plummet, Another hardcore carbon engineering project. I saw pic's of your carbon landboard with part of the trucks integrated into it. Looked great!

Have you used that bamboo ply you were threatening to make use of?

yep I've used it on several of my longboard skateboard builds. The next mutant build will be with 2.6mm bamboo ply.

Took the revos off my 14ply deck and created a new deck for my 3 year old out of light weight ply.

Nice build on the Alaias....Also, I noticed the deck furniture. How good are those chairs! I bought a set about 10 years ago and people still blow their minds when they sit in them. I have had to replace the wicker since and respray the chairs, (they are always outside and get a bit of weather. I got a sailmaker to make new backs ith rings in them, then used black strap ties to secure it. Looks good, and five years on they still look new!
