surely it wont hold to the predictions but we will be seeing at least 30-40knots!

Last August I was just about to go out on a 35 knot day then a storm front came through with copious amounts of rain and its the first time I have said to my self this is to strong.I had a 7m then packed up went home checked sea breeze 48, 49 knot gusts right through perth.
mmm might go see if I can find a Ruben Lenton Face book page to see if he's keen for a storm spectacular at scarborough amphitheatre!

Have managed a short couple or runs in 50 knots on a 6m switchblade last season.

It wasn't fun and all I ended up with was water up my ass.

On the drive home there were large broken branches on the road. I thought i was pretty stupid going out in them conditions. I hope people are smarter than me.

My favorite combination for kiting is hospital winds (30 - 40 knots) a 9- 11m foil and a (bombproof) landboard, getting as much speed up as i can and sending it as big as i can knowing thats its 100% pass or fail

sure in those wind i lack any technical finesse but just feeling the awesome power of mother nature is insane
there ain't a drug on the planet that can match that feeling

i am so looking forward to this week

been out in 46+ knots at atmosphere kite festival (10 m psycho4 fully powered up) but only managed a couple runs before i pulled the safety and chickened out - spectator to the real professionals that day (Lewis wilby and stupid dave) got some amazing pics though

hopefully as my kitesurfing skills catch up to those on land ill be able to go out in even bigger wind on the water

Mullas was reasonable during that storm 45-50 in jan. Flat water runs between the waves.

personal preference -

for me its
1st - Snowkiting
2nd - landboarding
3rd - Kitesurfing
4th - Buggying

With the cooler weather does this mean I can wear my boardies over my wetsuit yea ( Then a Uber cool surfer (( on ther wrong forum )) can ask y do U wear boardies over ur wetsuit again. DOH )

If its gonna come off check your gear as they'll be given a big work out, gusty conditions as predicted are the times when your gear is given its sternest test, 35knt plus and 7 mtr swells aint a great place with kit failure, harness straps under the covers and adjusters are seldom checked and overlooked, I've had a harness part company with me in big condition and it aint a nice feeling, for those who havnt been out in these conditions if in doubt don't go out, have a safe one,

Yep I have a dedicated new bar for storm kiting. Near new kite. And near new harness....

Best time of year know one out..
