Anybody tried kiting with an old school skurfer? I saw when cheap as chips at a second hand store and thinking I should go back for it. Had straps , single fin and looked buoyant

Definitely not worth buying. You're better off, getting an old dunger surfboard and screwing some straps into the stringer.

Definitely worth buying. Try it once or twice, then hang it up on your wall beside the super old school snowboard and original fishtail skateboard. Your home should be a mini museum and gallery rescuing these articles and icons that tell the tale of how we ended up doing the fantastic sport we do. It also serves to appease the irritation you might have with the perceived shortcomings of any particular piece of your modern equipment.
