Undeniably the sickest move ever invented, after the foot out.

Looks like Photoshop to me. The kite is fully de-powered (deadmans work best if you can hook in the bar to be fully powered eh?!). The guy is so close to the ground, I guess he would end up in a very short fraction of a second with his head in buried in the sand.

You are forgetting that this particular beach is directly offshore winds which allows you to race in to the shore, jump about 1m from the sand, over the beach, and then get blown back onto the water again. Also, the bar looks like a C kite, so there is no such thing as "fully depowered". I wasn't there, but its a totally believable shot. And looks awesome too.

A while ago someone posted a video from the same spot of someone standing on the beach holding up a beer, someone flew through did a jump and grabbed the beer from his hand, had a skull and then landed in the water again. It was an awesome video. Has anyone got it to repost?

after a general, a deadman is the lamest trick in kiteboarding.
and looking at the expression on old mate's face he thinks so too.

you just haven't been kiting long enough to appreciate the epicness of a solid deadman. It's similar to platforms and flares. Nobody would dare wear them in todays society, but as soon as someone throws them on it's all style and the girls can't enough of it.
