I haven't got any photos handy but a few hooks from bunnings did the trick. One for each kite bag, two biggers hooks for each board horizontally nd a hook each to hang the wettie up by it's zip and the harness - gets everything dry without leaving it in the sun. All in all 2 kites, 2 boards, 1 harness, 1 wetsuit and surfboards on the ground in about 2x2m of wall space. Had to reinforce the wall though with some bracing because the shed is thin sheet metal. Good luck!

Great topic...

I have a small space under the floor the verandah about 3m wide and 1m high. I am thinking of making lattuce shelving with the bottom level 30cm minimum off the floor to allow airflow with lattuce doors for security. Also thought about putting an exhaust fan hooked up to a timer that i can switch on after a session to speed up the airflow and drying.

The shed.... no way, my gear is in the spare bedroom, the spare bed is in the shed.
There's always that much sand on the floor I feel like I'm at the beach even when I'm at home.
Ahhhh just another bonus of living on your own.

4 Basic hooks from bunnings. Crappy shelving system from bunnings and 1 of 2 wakeboard tower style board racks which i made myself. Keeps the gear of the ground and leaves me some (not heaps) of room in the shed to play

Hi Dave,

I'll see your van and raise you a retail and demo TRUCK!

If you think you may have seen this type of van around before, you'd be right. It's an ex Snap-on tool truck. I have done some pretty serious mods to it in the back but the rest is standard including alarm, Aircond and 12v flouro lighting.

Looking forward to summer.

Good winds,

I've been wanting to put a board rack in for a while - your crappy shelving system...how crappy is it? do you think it's a good long term solution?

Thanks Guys,

It's a work in progress. We still have to put all the new stock into it yet. I think it's gonna be crowded in there. Although I haven't started putting stuff on the ceiling yet

It's fitted with 240v to run credit card facility and laptop with wireless broadband so I can sit in my Airconditioned "office" at the beach and watch the seabreeze coming.

I want to fit it out with a 22" LCD screen to have DVD's playing, add some rear speakers internally and make a few more minor mods to the interior, then it's onto the exterior retractable awning and external speakers (when I can afford it).

When the school trailer is on the back it looks like a small roadtrain

As I improve it, I'll update with some new pics.

Good winds,

Hey BA,

It'll be in the boat which will be behind the truck up in Exmouth.

If there are any spearos keen on doing a few dives in the mornings before the wind comes in whilst we're up there, 25th to 28th Sept, then bring your gun and gear. I have a couple of hotspots to hit but need another diver and/or boatie for the spots due to currents.

Cheers and good winds,

Yeah its sturdy as, but it doesn't have much of an angle to it (being 90 degrees to the wall and all) So i chocked out the bottom of the vertical brackets with washers to keep the boards hard up against the wall. I also used some stick on felt to protect the boards. It doesn't look as nice as the protec board racks, but its cheaper!

Hey Rick,

How did you connect the the poles in to the back support?

Wouldnt you just drill the holes and add a backing plate.

yeah, I found lettuce to not be very sticky either.

Board supports are just broom handles cut to size, then just drilled holes in the 4x2's and used liquid nails to hold it all together
