During 2 seasons the "rotating strap system" has been on the market, mainly for directionals. The system could be used for "mutants" too, but users asked for better pads.

Well further development lead to the "Dedicated TT version" with multilayer EVA pads. The new version also fits plug distances over 137 mm, which means all production TT boards.
Check out the video, for more info follow the link at the end.

And to all Australiens: We are so jealous about australien conditions, when you have wind. Winter is cold here, but at least we have wind ALL year.
Get out there and have fun. Any gear you like. Greetings from COLD HAWAII in Denmark.

When I ride straps I find twisting my feet keeps me more secure to keep my feet in, without that I would fall out all the time.

And what happens when you get a little bit of sand under the pad.

Good idea but I don't think it would work out for me, without a solid footing I would have little control over the board

Always pays when marketing to another country to at least know how to spell their country otherwise you might alienate them

About the sand issue: 2 mags stated that this system easy gets rid of sand when you get in the water.

Staying in the straps is also about adjusting to the correct width and then it is not an issue. If you are into board offs once every minute, then you will not set this kind of comfort that high.
But if you are into cruising, riding switched, jibing, jumping and especially slicing waves ... then your feet finally can adjust with your leg, which is COMFORT plus the much better weight distribution. You can simply get these 5 inch back on the board - great turning and the nose stays up.
You have to give it a few sessions to get used to, but then the benefits will show.
If you are unsure, try to ride your TT board without pads/straps. Then watch your stance during carving moves and jibes. So often your feet will move back, standing almost parallel. The same you can do with these rotating straps.
There is lots of gear on the marked, something for everybody. It's about trying stuff and finding out what is fun for YOU.

Hope this will give some inspiration. The rotating system actually only got on the marked, because i liked the prototypes so much myself. Regards Henning

Earlier this summer a guy visited Mullalloo regularly and he had some home made rotating straps on his TT. I have not seen him since quite some time. I also know a person who has broken an ankle because he could not get the second foot quick enough out of the strap where a rotating strap would help.
Also I can imaging that with long downwinders when you do a lot of toeside riding this is a lot easier on the legs.
However it looks to me that the actual strap is pretty far forward and not more over the center of the foot; I guess good for booties but maybe not as good for bare feet.
Still .. would be interesting to test them on a TT. I have a second TT which I could use for that ... If they have decent shipping cost I might order a set to try out ... I love gadgets ..

Certainly there are merits with both straps...

Its great to know some people are really thinking about improvement - It was once a stoopid idea to fly

Nice PU & nice play on words too wdric
Freudian slip perhaps - they are so far way & so different that "aliens" just about fits.

If you want to rule out the "one-footed-crash issue" then the rotating strap systems offers a simple solution: remove the "stop feature tap" and accidental full turns can be done (see pic).
About the downwinders you got that right - really comfy for your joints - you just last much longer.

About the strap position on your foot: You can certainly adjust in different ways and also choose to have it more over the center of your foot. This video was just a winter session with 7 mm boots and using the BEST asymetrical straps. Bare feet I know it works nice from using my Plug&Turn on a directional.

The shipping outside Europe adds up to 29 Euro.
