generally yes.

Ronix use 6". If you want bindings for a 6.5" mounting you could use the 2010 LF kiteboard bindings. Don't use the 2011, they're also 6"

why do they have to make it so awkward. so basicaly i have the choice of synergys or unions? are the 09's still a 6.5 spacing?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the 09's were 6.5 as well, but it's probably worth doing a google search.

To be honest, a Jaime pro is probably not ideal for bindings anyway so you may want to consider a binding specific board.

2. 2011 Liquid Force - LFX, DLX, Influence (fits Ronix)
3. 2011 Slingshot (fits Ronix)
4. Cardboard Tempo

Generally speaking, these boards are designed to be ridden in bindings. The general boards are a little flat in the rocker and probably too small for bindings.

Yep, simple fit no probs (halos) - Just watch the threading (boots came from US with imperial - tempos are metric - simple fix). I'm liking the setup.

Width is probably the biggest issue. If you try put it on a board thats only 39 wide your feet are going to be ducked outwards too much with your toes pointing towards the corner of the board. Most of the binding boards are 42 wide to cater for the size of the bindings.

Second issue is stance. Binding boards generally have a wider stance.

Third issue is that non-binding boards inserts are often not reinforced for bindings which increases the likelihood that you'll pull out the board inserts.

Fourth issue is that the rocker on most binding boards is about 2.5", non binding boards are way less.

Last issue is board size. Even at your weight, you probably still want 135 on a binding board. Most wake riders would use 135 to 143 depending on their weight. The bindings take up a lot of room (particularly with wide stances) so it'll feel like your feet are falling over the front of the board.

People are normally scared of large boards coming from straps but a binding board feels a lot smaller than it is with bindings on. Thats why boards like the Slingshot Darkside only come in 142 and the Naish binding board is a 138.

Bindings take a bit of getting used to. Do you know anyone you can borrow a board from for a week to try out?

all 2010 LF kiteboards will fit ronix too. and pretty sure same goes for 2010 customs.. could probably pick up any of the above at a decent price and have a mint set up

i dont like those removable inners.. mine always came out of the boot on hard crashes..


you CAN NOT modify the bridges supplied to fit 6.5 spacing as the next hole along is too far for the bridge to reach, and the right hole is halfway under the baseplate's edge.

I guess it depends on how much things have improved with removable inners. Probably a bit early to say its crap. The first bow kites were crap compared to the later models so its not to say the technology itself is flawed, just that the implementation of that technology was. Who knows, maybe they'll even find a way to make backless bindings into real bindings? (kidding about the last one) :p
