how high do you reckon that was? 100m?
I don't understand how this guy got launched stationary just by sending the kite back and forth, check it:

Dude that was at least 200m, it's easy to do with proper technique give it a few months and you too will be swinging the kite stationary and get launched soo high, be careful to avoid air traffic though

Drewp he was tethered from behind so if you tie yourself to a channel marker you can do the same.

Thermals. They exist in really shallow water. U can even feel it if u get some slow colder wind in the afternoon during a rly hot day.
