Doing a standard frontie in bigish swell. I usually finish it off with a downloop to get forward speed however this caused me to land hard and fast on the face of a peaking wave. Snapped both the tibia and fibula in one leg and torn the medial ligament in my right knee on the other.
I had to hold it to stop it flopping around, and every time a wave came I needed to let go to swim and my foot kept kicking my knee. I seriously still think of the sound it made when the bone grated on bone. It was actually a pretty crazy ordeal getting back in and it took ages. Some old lady came to help as I dragged myself onto the bank, but she nearly vomited and had to go get bigger help. Didnt go through the leg but it did cause pretty bad internal bleeding aka compartment syndrome. The surgeon thought my leg needed to be amputated as the muscle had already turned brown from the lack of blood. When they turn brown there dead.
He cut the calf in half from top to bottom and pulled each half out the sides of two big cuts down the sides of my leg (just like you do a chicken breast). He rapped it up in gause and let it sit for a week.
You could seriously smell rotting meat coming from the wound, it was freaking disguisting... He put it back in and it revitalised and came back together.
So to answer your question, yes I can kite again (I ride like a cooc now though

) but unfotunately I am unable to run, skip, or jump yet...

Once they take the rod out maybe but until then no chance.
The black spot is where the two breaks are... the scars near the knee and ankle are from where they force the rod down the centre of the bone and screw it in. Pretty amazing when you think about it.
