A. It is a great place to kite on an E or ENE
B. The rocks are not deep fin friendly.

I was having a very nice time (option A) this morning 7:30-8:30am

until it ended in tears when I made contact with an outlying submerged rock (option B).

I thought the fins were supposed to break before they ripped the fin box out of the deck.

Spend less time hitting rocks and more time jumping the spit.....

Mind you on less than 15knots you wont be jumping far.

Hamburglar – You are so right, when I was describing the board to a mate I called them meat cleavers too. First day out I ended with an 8cm cut across one leg and by the end of the week 3 more injuries from them.

The Gaz – I really appreciate you lending me your Sector while mine is being repaired and you are away on holidays and don't worry I won't take her to PW. On the up side for the first time she will get to experience the thrill of carving turns and I promise to tread lightly when I gybe as I know having someone standing on her throughout the turn will come as a surprise to her. Also at the end of the sesh I will just leave her floating in the water for a while so she still gets that half ridden half not feel that she is accustom to.

I went to Airborne in Osborne Park (www.airbornekitesurfing.com.au) and they just gave me a fin box, standard box on all of the sectors, maybe some of there other boards too.

Then off to see Dave at Katana Surfboards again in Osborne Park(www.katanasurf.com). The board is also cracked at the base of two of the other fins so he said he will grind them back and reinforced them (assuming the boxes aren't cracked too). Not as expensive as you'd think.

The wind was 10-12kn so I sure wasn't doing 30kn.
