maybe pushed the unsharp mask a bit far, got some ghosting happening there. I like the composition on the scenery shot, but the oversaturation (HDR maybe to) has washed out some of the rock detail.
Maybe set your camera up for a different auto focus point so you can off center the subject of your kiting images. division of thirds is a brilliant composition tecnique and when you know what direction the kiter will be moving in using it will make the shots much more dynamic.
Sorry for being such a critic.
Hi Sandman
This was my first real go with my new camera so a bit of tweaking, especially with the AF settings, is needed. I think I have figured the settings out now but we'll see when I get down to the beach next time. Not sure what you mean about
"unsharp mask".. Please elaborate. There's no HDR on any of the shots, most of them are "as shot" with minor adjustments and cropping made in Lightroom. Bare in mind these shots are heavily compressed JPEG versions of the originals for web use. Trust me, the originals look waaaaay better

This is the kind of feedback I was asking for and I do appreciate it. I can take critisism/feedback if it's constructive and it will help me improve my skills. With my kite gear still in Europe till january I'm stuck on the beach taking pictures.
Feel free to send me a PM if you have something to teach me, thanks mate.
