Waxy, thanks for posting, I have many memories of this spot (and those nearby) albeit back in my diving/fishing days. (A time before kites that are somewhat like the dark ages). Would love to return to this spot (and other old dive spots) with a kite.
How good would it be to kite at blackfellows!

As for any negative comments, perhaps it is just a matter of what kiting means for the author of the comments.
For some people, kiting is about having the right brand gear, the right style, doing just the right tricks and being seen by the right people.
For the rest of us, it is about getting out on the water with a friend or two and just having a damn good time.
Perhaps your post could have a bit more positive title, but other than that, keep it up!

That was as much fun watching blokes having fun doing what you cannot do because the wind is Roo Ted. Keep posting.
