A new wave competition is born. It is the NZ Kiteboarding Wave Nationals - but is open to everyone.

So are you ready to show the Kiwis how it is done? Do you want to discover the world class wave conditions of Taranaki's coast line? Do you want some wave riding tips from fellow kiteboarders or check out the newest gear? Or do you simply want to walk away with a brand new kite without even getting wet?

Are you ready to be very very scared whilst also being very very cold? Are you ready to have your wees go back up? All the way back up?

Are you ready to ask yourself, 'Was that a pointy bit of rock, or a pointy bit of shark?'

If so, then sleeves up and pinnies on, the Naki is for you!

got to love those small low tides that the naki offers you

"Enter a competition you might be able to win without knowing how to throw handle passes and maybe even with grey hair"

..its the grey hair thats got me interested - give 'puppet' a run for his money b-]

fella's i'm there... serendipitiously i'm relocating end of the Aug.... time enough to get "suffboard" as I have had enough of the warm water/moonsonal light winds here on the isle of borneo

Hello Kiter, you are dead on but you forgot to mention the very consistent wind with squally 40 knots gusts all year round

Hello Anton, give us a call as soon as you are in NZ and we will hook you up the locals. Furthermore, we are working on a kiteboarding guide for the whole of NZ and just finished the Bay of Plenty. Wellington Region and Taranaki will be next. Check it out at:
