Point Plomer Camping Ground
11th -13th December 2009 (Friday & Saturday night)

All who kite on the Mid North Coast NSW are welcome we are a friendly bunch if you haven't met us already.

Friday night kicks off with a welcome BBQ (post-kiting for those who can scam half a day off work to get there earlier)

Saturday arvo weather permitting we’ll do a downwinder starting the next headland along from Plomer back to the camping grounds. Perhaps one of the non-kiting partners/friends will have caught some fish for our dinner that night. Otherwise… more BBQ and beer action.

Sunday, for the stayers, will see the inaugural Great Downwinder set off as soon as the wind blows, heading from Point Plomer to Town Beach, Port Macquarie. We’ll try to organize a 4WD to follow along the length of the beaches to rescue downed kiters if necessary.

NON-KITING partners, there’s heaps of other stuff to do there too. It's a wicked spot. Think swimming, surfing, fishing, Frisbee, drinking beer. Or you could always have a go on the trainer kite.

IT’S FIRST IN BEST DRESSED FOR CAMPING SPACES. THEY DON’T ACCEPT BOOKINGS. Sean & Erin will try to arrive as early as possible on Friday and nab a good spot for us all. National Parks charges $10 per night per person plus daily vehicle entry $7 per car.

BYO food, alcohol, drinking water (pfft) & shelter. Drop us a line if you need any more info...

I haven't been to plumber in years.. whats the road from cresso like nowadays.. have they sealed it yet ?

We've got quite a crew coming together for the weekend which is great! Amongst which i've noticed quite a few people who are thinking of buying new kites & other gear...

Does anyone from a kite shop want to come and kindly let us demo some gear for the weekend?

It's in the Limeburner's Creek Nature Reserve so no dogs allowed :( it's has the best facilities and is right next to two surf breaks so is the best spot I reckon.

Looks like da bitch will have to stay @ home :(

I was gunna make up a harness to strap water bottles on her back for refreshments during the downwinder.lol
Da bitch is getting a bit fat so the run down the beach following us would have burnt off the winter fat.Just wouldnt be able to put mars bars in her harness as she would just run around in circles trying to get them

would it be quicker for me to come through port macquarie and cross at the ferry and head up the back road or to go through to cresso and come back along point plomer rd.. I would be coming from port Stephens and i do have a 4wd.. thanks
