Yep I saw that vid Greenpat, I dont think diving or surfing will ever be the same at cathedrals.
Then again I don't think I've been for a dive since I started kiting and only a handful of surfs, there's that many sharks in WA i think my chances of outrunning them are better on a kite.

try hitting one head on!

You should go for a dive at Cathedrals (Rotto West End) it gets its name from a cave complete with pulpit and eerie light shafts coming in from above, at the right time of day, whilst your down there just pray you don't see this

I got up close and personal with one about 3-4 mtr on a dive charter at the Abrohlos once, I was diving on a coral bommie with a dropoff of about 30mtrs, I was on the bottom and came around a corner and there it was just at the edge of my peripheral vision. It was a weird, surreal experience, I stayed on the bottom with my back to the ledge (to scared to move) and just watched it cruising around just far enough away to be able to see it and I sensed the whole time he was just checking me out too , strangely I didn't really feel that threatened. I still surfaced pretty fast when he'd left though and spent most of the rest of the four day charter fishing.
