i (Matty) was kiting at 8pm on sunday evening it was screaming on me 7 metre starting to turn offshoreish an i was jus about to come in, noone else to be seen any where around on the beach an just i was heading in i see this bloke with two little kids next to him out in the middle of hells, he yells out help, i quickly ditch me board an dragged the kids an then the bloke in, (in 2 go's) he was absolutely stuffed his kids couldnt swim an he was keepin them a float, he said he was jus about to let one child go so i could save one of them. (thats no sh-t) he offerd me money an all, he made his kids both come up an thank me for saving their lives. i couldnt believe it.

try to put it in one of the big newspapers e.g The Australian. Be good to get the general public on our side, another argument for not banning locations

Another kiter saves the day, well done.

From the sounds of things, starting to look like kiters are saving more people than killing themselves........strange, but makes perfect sense. Ricki surely has some sorts of stats on this.

Perhaps the argument can soon be made to councils that swimming should be banned except if there are kiters around.

That has truly choked me up - I would not even want to think about being in that situation with my kids. Makes me proud to be a kiter, well done mate.

Irrespective of the fact that any of us would have helped if there - you did, and this is one that will guarantee you have good karma following you and definitely get you in to have a beer with the big fella at the end of your days. I'll be buying you one if I ever get a chance to shake your hand.

I dare say that Dad would have given you anything if you had asked, not that you would have.

One thing he may do if he is willing though is to send a letter with his story to the Noosa Council with a plea not to ban kiting there. It is sure to have an influence and speaks for itself.......
