It's only 2 weeks before the fastest Kite surfers and Windsurfers in the world arrive in Luderitz Bay, Namibia to compete for the title of "Speed Champion of the World" .

The event organisers have been busy ensuring that the 2010 event will produce the fastest times yet recorded in the history of Speed Sailing.

The canal is nearly complete and already record breaking speeds are being recorded.

The new canal has been relocated 50m upwind to capitilize on wind speeds.

A 200 m launch ramp has been built before the start line - so riders enter the speed track fully powered.

At the finish line, the canal extends into the sea, ensuring the highest levels of safety at both the start and the finish of the course.

Yes, well obviously he's a kiteboarder, what he meant to say was "roll in" or perhaps in this case "slide in" ramp.

Just don't forget your snow goggles, seat harness, GPS, Slalom ski and condom.

Sry I still don't get it
How can you "slide" over anything with those big steel fins on the heelside?
I am thinking about this one with a channel for the fins, but I have a pretty strong guess that I am not quite on the right path

**** knows dude haha, I got no idea how it works. But my guess is it isn't a launch ramp at the end sending speed kooks butt checking off the top at 40km/h haha.
